Bus stand named ‍‍`Bangladesh‍‍` found in India

A bus stand named ‍‍`Indira Nagar‍‍` in Maharashtra, India has been renamed as ‍‍`Bangladesh‍‍`.

This bus stand is located in Uttan Chowk area of West Bhayinder in Thane district of Maharashtra.

According to locals, many started calling the area ‍‍`Bangladesh‍‍` due to the presence of many Bengalis. As the number of Bengali people gradually increased, the area came to be known as ‍‍`Bangladesh‍‍`.

According to Mira-Bhayandar Municipality sources, they are using the word ‍‍`Bangladesh‍‍` on the Aadhaar cards, electricity bills of the residents of the area and even on the government houses received from the municipality.

As a result, naturally, the bus stand of that area has been named ‍‍`Bangladesh‍‍` by the municipality. The plaque came up on last Friday (June 16).
Earlier, village called ‍‍`Bangladesh‍‍` was found in Jammu and Kashmir of India.
